With the Hummingbird algorithm, Google tries to bridge the gap between topics, subtopics, synonyms, and users query.
The ultimate goal of Google is to relate the users query to a closest possible answer. So if Google can rate a document based on the likelihood that it will answer the user query, then they have a new way of ranking documents.
This is why there is more focus on the actual content on the page than on the “Voting Mechanism” (links).
Use Synonyms, & LSI:
Search engines are getting smarter day by day. Google’s algorithms are not just looking at search terms or simply target keywords on the page, they look at the intent behind the search query and understanding that some searches have the same intent.
So, you don’t need to build different pages for each keyword, instead focus on building the page based on topics.
Today, Google is smarter and understands the pages are all same thing, so you can just create one page and you will rank for a ton of various other ranking keywords, just like I optimized this page:
If Google understands the content better through its Rank Brian Algorithm, then the system does not require any backlinks to rank that content. This is not the way it works today, but lot of SEO Experts and strategists have seen it going this way – the content and the backlinks is main ranking mechanism.
So, longer content tends to rank better in the search engines like Google. Because, the longer content on the page has the potential to explain the answer to the user query fully:
So, the best way to rank better in the eyes of Google, is to become an authority in your industry or niche. When the content becomes more authoritative, Google sends you tones of traffic to your website.
So, what is an authority in the eyes of Google?
So, it is a known fact that Domain Authority or DA is a metric developed by MOZ to predict the ability, value or authority of a website to rank in Search Engines.
Today, the best on-page SEO efforts is not enough to get good rankings and traffic. Today, there are more than 200 factors to optimize the page to get better rankings and traffic but it is nearly impossible to optimize a website and content for each of its ranking factors.
Since it is nearly impossible to optimize for all the ranking factors, but still optimize for one of the major ranking factors – “Domain Authority.”
In the eyes of Google, domain authority is a website’s reputation and it acts as a thought leader to your website. Search Engines like Google uses the website’s domain authority to make sure that the content provided by the website is in good quality and serves the purpose of the user’s query. If the content quality is matched with the users search query, Google will boost your content’s rankings and if you don’t, your content will not rank on Google and your domain will be bad.

- Topical Depth:
Writing in-depth content that answers the users every query completely on the subject.
- Topical Breadth:
It is better to create supporting content (create the clusters) around the pillar content which helps to answer all the users query on the subject.
- Authority links:
Backlinks remains one of the main ranking factors, but building quality backlinks builds more high authority than it used to be. SEO is not an overnight game; it is a long-term play. I recommend to build high quality backlinks to stand out in the crowd.

Like I said there are over 200 ranking factors that Google considers while ranking a website, and out of 200, 67 of them are related to content creation. So, the challenge here is not about improving the Domain Authority but rather creating SEO-Friendly content that is compelling at the same time and eventually helps in improving the domain authority.

If you are looking for a specific targeted location, you can search along with your desired region, city or language. Now all you need to do is to think about the topic or keyword that covers your blog post and type it in the Topic Search bar.
So for example, let us look up for “SEO Optimization Tips” to keep the learning simple. Press “get Content Ideas” and after a few moments, you will get the most relevant subtopics based on your head keyword in the form of expandable cards.
You can sort the results based on Volume, Difficulty and Topic Efficiency.
Volume – To check the most searched results
Difficulty – To find how difficulty to promote the content
Topic Efficiency – To analyze the topics based on the volume and difficulty.
Also, you can use “Trends” filtering to get to know how popular is your topic over the last 60 days across the internet. This could be your great opportunity for you to follow a trend.
Likewise, you can also specify your Domain to check whether the topic is already covered in your website. Simply enter your Domain name in the space provided and press “Get Content Ideas” again to get the analysis on the topics you have choose to cover it on your website.
You can also use your competitor’s domain to check the topics is covered on their website and adjust your content strategy accordingly.
Check what your target audience are searching for:
Understanding your readers or target audience want, will make your content writing process even better and faster. Simply, you answer their questions and become a go to resource that they need on a daily basis.
You can be resourceful by using the proper usage of SEMrush’s topic research. Every subtopic card in topic research section has the “Questions” section which these “questions are filtered by the most used “questions” terms.

4. Content Length and Language optimization:
After a deep dive into the topic research and choosing the perfect headline, it is time to play the next level – Content Creation. Here the writer will try to figure out the following:

- And, how to help people find the content in the endless list of Google links.
